The pocket color card that speaks color names instantly
When colors are hard to tell, guessing is the worst mistake.
Can't tell navy from black when shopping, unsure if fruit is ripe, or can't match wall paint under lights? Just open Color Teller, point your camera, and hear the color name spoken aloud while seeing it displayed in large text.
Point & Tell
Open the app and it becomes your viewfinder. Wherever the crosshair at the center points, the color name appears in large text at the bottom, spoken clearly in a human voice. No photos, no processing, no reading required—visually impaired or color-blind users can instantly know any color with a simple gesture.

The Speaking Color Card
Light red, deep blue, dark yellow, teal... 45 everyday colors in plain language. Whatever color is detected, that's what's read. Each language's pronunciation is pre-recorded by professional voice actors, not machine-generated—clear, consistent, and always the same.

Professional 267 Colors
Switch to Fine Mode for 267 color names: Olive Black, Light Grayish Purple, Dark Yellowish Brown, Vivid Green... Based on the U.S. National Bureau of Standards NBS-ISCC color system (a public domain standard). Perfect for designers matching color proofs, printers matching color codes, or textile workers matching fabrics—a professional color card in your pocket.

Fine Mode Speaks Too
Fine Mode isn't just about display precision—all 267 color names are pre-recorded in 12 languages. Switch to Fine Mode, and it reads the exact color names, not just 'red'.

White Balance Calibration
White paper looks yellow under warm lights, everything looks blue under cool lights—color casts can fool recognition. Calibrate by pointing at a white paper and tapping once. The app remembers 'white as it is now' and automatically corrects color casts for all future recognition. Recalibrate anytime in a new environment, or turn it off anytime.

Color Card Preview
Want to get familiar with color names? The Color Card page displays all 45 or 267 colors. Tap any color block to hear its name. Accessible preview—learn 'what color is this' first for a smoother experience.

Stable, Not Noisy
Results only update after 3 consecutive frames match the same color, and no repeated announcements within 5 seconds. A shaky camera won't become a voice bombardment—it waits quietly for you to steady it, then reports the color clearly once.
Accessible Large Text
The large text area at the bottom quarter of the screen: the left color block is the actual detected color, the right side shows the color name in large font (46pt). Non-English interfaces also include a small line with the standard English name. Long color names auto-shrink to stay complete—no ellipses ever.

12 Languages
Simplified/Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Russian, Arabic, Hindi—interface, color names, and voice all follow your language, or manually switch. Japanese users hear natural Japanese color names, German users hear natural German color names. All 3400+ voices are built-in and work offline.

No Photos, No Storage
Real-time view and recognition—no photos, no saved images, no uploads. Recognition happens locally on your phone, works offline. Only you know what your camera has seen.
Zero Ads, Zero Subscriptions
All voice features are ready to use out of the box—no ads, no subscriptions, no 'unlock premium colors'. Accessibility tools should be equal for everyone who needs them—that's why we made this product.
